Daniel is a licensed addiction counselor and clinical social worker with 7 years of experience in community mental health and lived experience with recovery from depression, foster care, PTSD, and poverty. He has worked with teens, adults, and older adults of diverse backgrounds, using a client-centered approach focused on strengths, coping strategies, and recovery.
Treatment structure depends on the cooperatively designed treatment plan which will prioritize safety, then stabilization of your most current distressing symptoms, followed by addressing core issues. The method of therapy varies depending on the symptoms and what you’re comfortable with.
Daniel has been trained in several evidence-based practice methods of therapy with certification in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing, Motivational Interviewing, Addiction Counseling, Somatic Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.
